How the score is weighted
Not all factors are equal, so the audit weights each check 1–3. The heaviest weights go to the things that most often decide citation outright: crawler access (blocked bots cannot cite you), an extractable answer-first structure, third-party brand presence, and whether the page ranks at all — since retrieval-based engines lean on strong organic results. The methodology follows the framework in our LLM SEO guide and GEO vs SEO.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good GEO score?
85+ means the page is citation-ready; 65–84 means a few gaps worth closing; below 65, prioritize the weighted fix list before investing in more content. Most pages land in the 40–65 range on first audit — the common failures are blocked crawlers and buried answers.
Should I audit every page?
Start with the pages that answer commercial questions in your category — the ones AI assistants would draw on for recommendation and comparison prompts. Then verify the outcome with the AI Visibility Checker.
